(Plan carefully for a full week at camp)

Overnight camping gear

  • Scouts BSA Handbook

  • Backpack or duffel bag

  • Sleeping pad

  • Sleeping Bag

  • Pillow

  • Ground cloth

Clothing for the Season (Highs in lower 80’, lows in upper 40’s)

  • BSA Scout shirt (worn to camp and worn while at camp)

  • Short sleeve shirts

  • Hiking shorts

  • Long pants

  • Underwear

  • Socks (bring extra pairs)

  • Hat

  • Sweatshirt

  • Warm jacket

  • Pajamas or sleepwear

  • Sturdy shoes for hiking

  • Spare pair of shoes

  • Rain jacket or poncho

  • Swimsuit

  • Water shoes

Personal Hygiene Kit

  • Soap

  • Shampoo

  • Toothbrush

  • Toothpaste

  • Dental floss

  • Deodorant

  • Hand sanitizer

  • Shaving kit (if needed)

  • Washcloth

  • Towel

Outdoor Essentials

  • Pocketknife (Only folding knives allowed)

  • Personal first aid kit

  • Water bottle (required)

  • Flashlight (with extra batteries)

  • Sun protection (sunscreen, lip balm)

  • Compass

  • Insect repellent (The mosquitoes can be heavy)

Personal Extras (Optional)

  • Watch

  • Notebook or binder with paper

  • Pencil or pen

  • Sunglasses

  • Gloves (for cool weather)

  • Hat for sleeping in

  • Money for trading post

    • Money to pay for crafts that they have signed up for

    • Money for snack
