Campout Packing List

Sleeping

  • Sleeping bag (They will need a warm sleeping bag, not just a blanket)

  • Sleeping pad (To get them off of the cold ground) (OPTIONAL)

  • Headlamp or flashlight

Clothing

  • Beanie - to wear to bed and over wet hair

  • Garbage bag for wet gear and dirty clothes

  • 3 - pair socks

  • Class A Scout shirt (Will be worn to either LDS worship service or non-denominational worship service)

  • 1 - Troop t-shirt

  • 2 - Regular T-shirts

  • 3 pair - underwear

  • Gloves

  • Hiking boots or tennis shoes

  • Long Pants

  • Shorts

  • Rain gear or rain coat

  • Sleeping clothes (Think layers that they can wear. If they’re too warm they can remove a layer. If they’re too cold they’ll need to be able to add a layer)

  • Sweatshirt

  • Coat (The night’s may be cold)

  • Swimsuit (They will be wading and playing in a creek)

  • Towel

Activity Items

  • Mountain Bikers

    • Each boy provides their own bike

    • Each biker MUST have a helmet. If they don’t have one, or forget a helmet, they will not be allowed to bike

  • Rock Hounders

    • Bucket for rocks they collect (With their name on the bucket)

    • Hammer (Break open rocks, or use the claw to dig rocks out - please place your name on the hammer)

Personal Items

  • Headlamp or flashlight

  • Personal first aid kit

  • Water bottles

  • Whistle (OPTIONAL)
